Hi my name is Elías Islas and I'm from México, I studied systems engineering and currently work in traditional clothing business and xylography (our workshop specializes in handmade embroidery), I’ve been learning Unity for the last couple years and have decided to explore a career in game development.
I would describe myself as a generalist who is interested on all aspects of game development with a focus on the programming side, I might not have the work experience that most studios ask for, but I do have hands-on experience and I learn fast and I strive to succeed in all my interests, my qualifications are:
* Deep understanding of C# and Java, I also took courses on Assembly, C++, and Python in college (but these at entry level).
* Good familiarity with Unity, the 2D asset pipeline and the URP plus the legacy renderer.
*2D skeletal animations, I've used Anima2D, Spine and Unity's own solution. I wrote IK and a procedural animation solution for my game; the animations you see in the video are all procedural ;)
* I’ve used Git and Github to track projects, plus Unity’s own Collaborate before it was deprecated.
* Inkle dialogue script and its Unity implementation, plus I've written prose, and have experience translating middle spanish to modern english.
* Entry level understanding of shaders and the Shader Graph.
* I can make art (pixel art, ink and watercolours)
* English and Spanish
